Hindolam Thillana | Bharatanatyam Dance | Online Dance Fellowship

Traditional Thillana by K. N. Dandayudapani Pillai in Raga Hindolam and Adi Talam. In praise of Lord Shiva, who dances with great strength and beauty in Chidambaram. With this piece, we hope to bring out the dual nature of dance: its strength as well as its grace and beauty. In this way we hope to emulate Lord Shiva and his consort Parvati, their shared energy and power as a united force.
